My sister sent me the link to the website so I could see the video on the Levangie store 100th Anniversary, and what a treat that turned out to be!  What a truly wonderful, heartwarming website.  It was just the little "trip" home I needed.  My heart ached to see the old school, the old church and some of the country side.  What a treat to recognize where nearly every picture was taken!  I can't wait to show it to my husband & children and all my friends.

I've saved the picture of the Havre Boucher wharf to my desktop at work so I can see it every day.  My dad was a lobster fisherman for years (Bernard DeCoste) and that wharf holds lots of treasured memories for me and my first cousin (Dianne Pettipas) lives right across the road.

I'm saving this website to my favorites, so I can go for a "visit" anytime I need to.  Keep up the great work.  This is a website to be proud of.

Message: Being in Timmins, Ontario, I really miss the smell and vast beauty of the ocean. There are a lot of lakes here, but they just don’t come compare!!  When I am feeling the least bit home sick, I visit this site. I am very impressed with the new Community Centre photos. Can’t wait to see it. It’s comforting to know that Havre Boucher continues to expand.   I cannot wait to come home to visit. I am bringing a friend who has never been to NS before. It’s going to be great to see all my family and friends again! See everyone soon!

I live in downtown Havre Boucher but when I'm working away in the great white north, I always go online and check out the progress of the new community center. Keep those good pictures coming mom (she takes them 4 the site). I also use it to see b-days, and local updates. The best way for me to keep in touch is to visit the site. I'ts an awsome tool.

I did a google search and came across this web site. It all looks really nice....one thing I did notice is that Jas Levangie's store is still listed as a business but Old Station Stables in Frankville isn't. All the business's in the area reflect well on the community, I'm amazed this one is excluded!

I am researahing Nova Scotia railway history for my fourth book, and wonder if you might be able to direct me to any details surrounding a winter accident prior to 1913 in which a railway worker operating a flanger car (snow plough) was killed in a derailment at Havre Boucher? I suspect this accident may have occurred during the severe winters of either 1905 or 1907.

The Havre Boucher Veterans Association lists William and Vincent Chisholm as WWI village veterans. Is it possible to provide more information about their service and especially their parents names or suggestions about how to research these questions. FYI my siblings, my cousins and I own a parcel of land in Havre Boucher that was purchased by my grandfather (Vincent Alexander Chisholm) in 1909 from a member of the Webb family. Thank you

Hello Havre Boucher, I am planning a visit this summer with my mother. Her grandmother was born there in 1868 and my mother was very close to her nana. I have tried finding information on her nana, Elizabeth DeCoste but haven't had any luck, could you please let me know where I might find records of her and her family. And information on visiting. Thank You, I appreciate your help.

Hi, HELLO from Calgary; I am trying to find pictures, or stories/articles from the early 1926 era; My grandmother - Violet Agatha Jewell (maiden name was DeCoste) is turning 80 years old this year; She now resides in Calgary, Alberta. The Party we are having is a surprise and we are trying to collect as much information on where she grew up Havre Boucher - Frankville, but it is so hard to collect without asking more and more questions of her and she is getting suspicious. Do you have a bulletin board where you can post information on your website for those to read; I know she still has family back there; We all grew up in New Brunswick with my grandma (Fredericton) so most of my heritage is from there. If you can pass this along to anyone who could help me even find a picture of her home or of the area where she grew up - it would be most helpful and appreciated. Thank you.
